Committed
To The Issues Of Social Justice
Following Christ’s words
to “love one another” and in the tradition of
the Apostles, we are committed to issues of social justice.
Our sisters provide support and services to women and children,
to those lacking hope, shelter or other basic needs. We are
committed to working for systemic change of social structures
and dedicated to the ways of nonviolence within ourselves,
our congregation, the communities in which we live, our nation
and the world.
The Presentation Sisters have
initiated four Pax Christi local groups. Pax Christi USA is
a section of Pax Christi International, which is active working
for the transformation of society through nonviolence and
advocating peacemaking as a priority in more than 30 countries.
Members pray, study and act for "peace for all humankind,
always witnessing to the peace of Christ."
To receive regular updates,
prayers and action alerts from Pax Christi USA, join the Presentation
Sisters' Social Justice Team Peacemaking Interest Group. Contact
