Vocation Outreach Ministry
What is God’s Call?
This question may be asked numerous times throughout each person’s life. At some point, the question may include … am I called to marriage, single life, priesthood or religious life? How do I know? What should I be listening for?
If you are wondering about God’s call and invitation, you may begin your journey of discernment by simply trying to listen to God during your prayer.
“Saint Augustine urges us to pay attention and to listen to the inner teacher, the voice that speaks from within all of us. It is within our hearts where God speaks to us.” | Pope Leo XIV
We believe that God created each of us with special gifts to share with the world. When we identify our own gifts, we are led to recognize how we are invited by God to serve. When discerning our vocation or any life decision, we honor God’s call by seeking ways that our gifts serve others.
Our South Dakota Congregation is inter-connected to other Presentation Sisters’ Congregations throughout the world who serve on five continents. There are dozens of women in various stages of formation to become Presentation Sisters. Some of them live in places where they risk persecution for their decision to serve as a sister. THEY SAID YES! We all work together to enrich and support the spiritual and personal growth of each person, and we ask for your prayers as
women continue to answer the call.
Our Vocation Ministry, in collaboration with Presentation Sisters and Presentation People across North America, offers a variety of opportunities, both in person and online, for single women ages 18-45 to meet Sisters and discern a vocation to religious life.

One resource where a young woman may begin her vocational search is Vision Vocation Match found at VocationNetwork.com. It’s the starting point for someone looking for a deeper connection in religious life and provides an overview of many different religious congregations.
