Biography:

Sister Carol graduated from Marquette University, Milwaukee in 1967 with a bachelor degree in history education and did graduate studies in Applied Theology at the Franciscan School of Theology, Berkeley, CA.

Sister Carol taught at Roncalli Junior High School before ministering at the Loretto Adult Education Center, an alternative high school for adults and children, in Chicago, IL. She ministered as an administrator at the Loretto Adult Education Center until 1980. For the next eight years, Sister Carol served as Director of Admissions at Presentation College. Sister Carol went on to minister as Pastoral Assistant at Immaculate Conception Parish, Sacramento, CA and a Pastoral Administrator in Ghant, MN for ten years.

As an advocate for mothers and children in St. Paul, MN, Sister reached out to pregnant teens and adults, teaching them life skills and influencing them in making choices to improve their future. Through her ESL teaching ministry at “New Start” in Sioux Falls, SD, Sister Carol empowered Hispanic and African immigrants every day and fostered knowledge and understanding in the once-strangers who now call America their home.
