Biography:

For over 20 years, Sister Helen Jean taught in Catholic schools in Minnesota and South Dakota. She also served as principal for seven years and coordinator of the CCD program for over 1,500 children. Sister ministered as a religious education coordinator for over ten years in Minnesota and South Dakota. She went on to receive her certification in pastoral care and ministered with her focus on the elderly. She was the director of spiritual at the Aberdeen Living Center for 11 years. In 2002, she started with the altar bread department. Since 2005, she has been volunteering at the information desk at Avera St. Luke's Hospital and in various assignments at Presentation Convent.
