Biography:

Sister Francelle taught elementary grades in Milbank, Sioux Falls, and Jefferson. She was appointed principal of Holy Family School, Mitchell, SD 1968-1971, and at St. Mary’s School, Willmar, MN. For twenty-six years, 1971-1997, Sister Francelle was professor of psychology, counselor and Director of Student Activities at Presentation College, Aberdeen, SD. In 1977, Sister launched the first Search for Christian Maturity Program at Presentation for the young people in the diocese of Sioux Falls, SD. For the next twenty years, she served as Coordinator of the program. Sister was also Vocation and Postulant Director for the Presentation Sisters. In 1966, she was elected the first president of the Sister’s Senate in the Diocese of Sioux Falls. For seven years, she was involved in a healing ministry for women Victims of Torture from Africa, in St. Paul, MN. She was active in the Pro-Life ministry, volunteering at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital and Meals on Wheels.
