Quotes from our campers: I’ve learned that if I have a problem, someone, somewhere can help me. It’s amazing what a little self-esteem and someone believing in you can do.
The reason I love this camp is that I can act like myself and make friends without lying or trying to be someone I’m not. Last year I made tons of friends with the same morals and values like me. I have changed the way I treat my friends and family. I am nicer to other people too. I go to church, pray more, and talk to God with words and my heart. I love this camp. Thank you for helping me to be a better person.
For the first time I feel like I am surrounded by girls my age who really care and have a strong faith in God. I know now there are teens who have a faith in Christ.
My life has changed so much since I came to camp my very first year. I’ve learned to be a leader, to listen to others’ ideas, to make friends, to have fun, to challenge myself with new ideas and most of all to be the very best I can be.
As we celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart on June 12, 2015, we remember that Jesus’ love reaches out to all people. This divine love flows into our daily, ordinary lives, lifting up our heavy burdens into the loving embrace of Jesus.
In the spirit of our foundress, Nano Nagle, our devotion to the Sacred Heart remains alive in the heart of the Sisters and at the center of our mission and ministry. It emphasizes Jesus’ compassion and unending love for all humanity. It is a model for us to follow.
Enclosed is a brochure highlighting some of our continued work with young women. We believe our presence with these young women will provide them the tools to grow their self-esteem and leadership skills. We seek your partnership through your gift of prayer and financial support of these young women wanting to attend summer camp. We hope you will open your generous heart in support of our efforts.
Thank you for your continued partnership in the mission we all share, the compassionate mission of Jesus. We invite you to send us your prayer intentions in the enclosed envelope. You and your intentions are held in the Presentation Sisters’ Novena to the Sacred Heart.
