Cojourners-picnic tables_Sioux FallsThe Sioux Falls Presentation Cojourner group directed by Sister Lynn Marie Welbig recently put their Presentation charism to work by purchasing two picnic tables for the women’s and children’s outdoor area of the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House in Sioux Falls, SD. The group contributed $660 of their own funds towards the purchase of the tables. The BDHH offers daytime and overnight emergency shelter for the homeless and vulnerable. Along with overnight services for 80 men, 20 women and seven families, the shelter also provides noon lunch, laundry services, shower/restroom opportunities, personal clothing and hygiene items, access to social service providers, case management and technology access. Sister Lynn Marie, one of many volunteers, assists with laundry and other services on Friday afternoons.

The group gathers monthly in one of their homes to share prayer and their faith journeys in the modern world, and to socialize. Cojourners share the Presentation Sisters’ charism of doing justice in joyful service, and are welcomed to participate in congregational activities and gatherings.
